Behind the Ukrainian Front Line: the Civilian Response

Dear friends

We are delighted to invite you to join us on Friday 24th November at the Medieval Hall in Salisbury, for what promises to be a fascinating discussion on the civilian response to the ongoing war in Ukraine.

At a time when our collective attention is quite understandably diverted to conflicts and emergencies elsewhere in the world, it seems more urgent than ever to talk about Ukraine’s future.  We are excited to have Max Maslennikov from Dnipro with us, to share his experiences of supporting huge numbers of internally displaced people and to explore ways to repair and rebuild the country, with our illustrious panel of guests.

Many of you responded to our Go Fund Me appeal earlier in the year which enabled us to send 50 boxes of equipment and supplies to Dnipro and Kherson (with the Ukraine Freedom Company’s help).  Max will be able to explain where your donations ended up and how vital they were for each person that received them (for some, it was the first contact they had had in 10 months with someone from outside their village).

All proceeds will go to Reconstruction Ukraine and to supporting isolated communities in the Dnipro region.

The Medieval Hall will seat just over 100, so please book your places early!  6.30pm with a glass of wine for a 7pm start.
