August Update

Dear friends

We hope you are all thriving and enjoying family time both here in the UK and abroad.  The less said about the weather, the better, so we shan’t mention it but we hope it will be fine on Thursday.

As many of you know, 24th August is Ukrainian Independence Day and our Ukrainian Community in Salisbury is holding a market event from 11.30 – 3pm.

Please do come down and share national food and drinks as well as the activities that are planned: music, craft workshops, photographic exhibition, art for sale. The formal opening will take place at 12.30 with our MP John Glen and our Mayor Atiqul Hoque.

See you there!  Please share this with anyone else who might wish to join us.

Another date for your diary is the Annual BEARR Trust lecture on 13th September.  This is an online event to which you are most welcome.

Booking is now open for the lecture at 6.30pm UK time on 13 September by Robert van Voren on

“War in Ukraine and mental health: the long-term consequences”
